Serbian-born Canadian mezzo-soprano Martina Govednik is celebrating 20 years of her life in Canada this year! She moved to Montreal in 2003, where she obtained Master’s in Classical Voice at the McGill Schulich School of Music and has since been a presence on opera and concert stages throughout Canada and Europe.

Since moving to Vancouver in 2015, Martina has been a regular with the Vancouver Opera, Opera Kelowna and Vancouver Chamber Choir. She is also dedicated to cultivating Serbian traditional music and enjoys perfoming other musical styles, such as jazz, rock, ambiental.
