Meriem Mezdour

Partnerships and Special Events Lead

Meriem Mezdour holds a M.A in Political Science and Development Studies from McGill University (2021). Her thesis explored how national identity and citizenship are cultivated and shaped through Canadian immigration policies and programs.

Meriem completed a field research course at the University of Dakar (Senegal) and interned at Center for Democratic Development in Accra (Ghana). Meriem also took part in the Ontario Legislature Internship Program, where she worked with both the government and opposition Members of Provincial Parliament. Her bilingualism and heightened interest in communications also allowed her to work at the Michaëlle Jean Centre for Global and Community engagement, the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard and Mines Action Canada.
